The Salvation Army in Huonville, TAS is seeking a Community Ministry Worker for a fixed-term 12-month contract, 15.2 hours per week. You will foster connections between the Corps and local groups, share compassionate outreach, and coordinate Doorways Support Cards to support community wellbeing.

Reporting to the Corps Officer, you will develop volunteers, strengthen faith pathways, and help deliver engaging community programs across Huon Valley.

Formación

• Commitment to the Christian faith and The Salvation Army mission.
• Understanding of issues faced by people experiencing hardship and how to refer them.
• Knowledge of The Salvation Army and Holistic Integrated Mission.
• Ability to work with volunteers and provide community support.
• Working with Vulnerable People check required.
• Current valid driver's licence and police check required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Build connections between the Corps, Doorways, Salvos Stores and the Huon Valley community.
• Share the gospel with the community and encourage mission-minded engagement.
• Coordinate delivery of Doorways Support Cards.
• Create welcoming spaces for belonging and connection.
• Recruit, train and support volunteers for community initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership to strengthen faith pathways and wellbeing.
