Job summary

Discover Nursing Australia is seeking a friendly Disability Support Worker to provide 1:1 community access support to a female participant in Seville. You will help her get out, stay connected and enjoy activities that matter to her.

Responsibilities include accompanying her to cafés, shopping, appointments, parks and leisure activities, building rapport and promoting independence. Required: Certificate III in Individual Support, police check, first aid, driver’s licence and insured vehicle.

Qualifications

• NDIS Worker Orientation Module is required.
• Must have current NDIS Worker Screening Check and Police Check.
• First Aid and CPR training is mandatory.
• Valid driver’s licence and a reliable, insured vehicle are required.
• ABN or willingness to obtain one is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 community access support to a female participant.
• Help with cafés, shopping, appointments and outings.
• Support participation in walks, parks and leisure activities.
• Encourage independence and build rapport in community settings.

The Role:

The focus of this role is simple – helping the participant get out, stay connected and enjoy activities that are meaningful to her.

You may support her with:

• Cafés, lunch and social outings.

• Recreational and leisure activities.
• Exploring new interests and activities.
• Building confidence and independence in the community.
