Talk Agency Pty Ltd is seeking a mid-weight copywriter to craft high-performing content across blogs, SEO, email, social and marketing collateral. The role supports a remote, Australia-based team, with a path to increased hours and a long-term career. You’ll help shape voice guidelines, work with AI to produce on-brand copy, and collaborate across disciplines in a fast-paced agency.

Consider yourself a whizz digital writer who already works with AI every day, and knows the best copy still comes from a person with good judgement? We're on the hunt for someone to sink their teeth into our diverse client portfolio and develop high-performing written content across blogs, SEO, paid social, email marketing, website copy, organic social and marketing collateral, as well as keeping a set of client social accounts running smoothly.

Talk is a full service dynamic digital marketing agency focussed on the digital marketing suite; including social media management, SEO, email marketing, website development, PPC and creative services. We are a tight-knit team across a few different geographic locations and we're on the hunt for a savvy wordsmith to take our clients' work to the next level. We're building Talk into a human-led, AI-native agency. AI takes on more of the production, and our people own the ideas, the strategy, the brand voice and the final call on quality.

This role would suit a mid-weight writer with at least 3 years of brand focussed copywriting experience under their belt, who is comfortable working in a remote capacity and looking for a long term career.

Reporting of the role
This role reports to: Content Lead

Hours and location

Part-time, 3 days a week, with a contracted step up to 4 days from January 2027 at Talk's discretion, depending on workload

Fully remote, working from home in Australia with a reliable internet connection

Your working days follow AEST business hours and include our daily 10am creative team check-in

What your day will look like:

Write clear, concise and compelling copy for websites, blogs, paid campaigns, email and social, matched to each brand's tone of voice

Run day-to-day social for a set of client accounts, executing to the strategy set by our Senior Social Media Specialist

Use AI to research, draft and iterate quickly, then edit until the copy reads like the brand wrote it, and check every AI draft before it goes to a client

Help build and maintain the tone of voice guides, voice packs and prompts that keep AI-assisted copy consistent across clients, including the brand context loaded into clients' own Claude setups

Write SEO and GEO content, from blogs and guides to landing and location pages, that ranks in Google and gets cited by ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, Gemini and Perplexity

Collaborate with Client Service, Design and SEO/PPC specialists to keep messaging and brand voice consistent across all digital channels

Research industry trends, competitors and audiences to inform content

Keep up with new AI tools and content practice, and share what works with the team

Ideally, we're looking for:

3+ years of brand copywriting across a variety of digital platforms, ideally including some agency experience

AI as part of your everyday writing process. Experience with Claude is a bonus, but ChatGPT, Gemini or similar is fine

The editorial judgement to spot generic AI copy, and the skill to fix it

Solid writing experience and a strong understanding of SEO and writing principles

An understanding of how to work within, and create, tone of voice documentation

Experience writing and creating basic assets for social media (simple graphics, carousels, short video edits in tools like Canva or CapCut), and ideally managing social accounts day to day

Strong attention to detail

A proactive team player who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and help with all areas of the business

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A positive attitude and a willingness to learn

The ability to move through multiple projects quickly and with accuracy

An understanding of digital marketing best practice and how it relates to copywriting

Demonstrated experience responding to and interpreting creative briefs

Flexible working hours available - mandatory 10am-3pm online hours

Work remotely from home, with a view to visit our Gosford office when time permits
