Qualifications

• Qualification or certification as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not essential.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification is required or highly desirable.
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to work well in a clinical team and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assisting dentists during clinical procedures by passing instruments and materials as required
• Preparing treatment areas and sterilising dental instruments according to established protocols
• Recording patient medical and dental histories accurately
• Providing chairside support and ensuring patient comfort during treatments
• Managing patient scheduling and appointment confirmations
• Maintaining meticulous patient records and documentation
• Assisting with infection control and maintaining a hygienic clinical environment
• Supporting administrative tasks including reception duties and general office management
• Educating patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care when appropriate
