Job summary

The University of Sydney, at the Brain and Mind Centre on the Camperdown campus, invites applications for a part-time Research Assistant - Dementia to support FRONTIER projects led by the Chief Investigator. The role involves cognitive testing, data handling and coordination of assessments.

You will contribute to ethics submissions, literature reviews and publications, with some home visits, and receive a pro-rata base salary plus 17% superannuation.

Qualifications

• Honours degree in Clinical Neuroscience, Psychology or relevant field.
• Experience with older adults, particularly dementia.
• Knowledge of cognitive neuroscience of neurodegenerative disorders.
• Experience conducting literature searches and reviews for research.
• Experience with research protocols, experimental design, data handling, ethics submissions and grants.

Responsibilities

• Undertake clinical and cognitive assessment of participants with dementia or healthy older adults.
• Collect and manage research data; conduct statistical analyses as required.
• Ensure ethics applications are lodged in collaboration with CI/Research Manager.
• Coordinate assessment kits, scheduling and contribute to publications and presentations.
