Job summary

The University of Sydney, Brain and Mind Centre, Camperdown, is seeking a part-time Research Assistant - Dementia to support FRONTIER projects investigating cognitive changes in frontotemporal dementia and related disorders.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary assessments, conduct cognitive testing, assist with ethics submissions, manage data and help prepare publications and literature reviews, with a pro-rata base salary of $93,345–$104,515 plus 17% superannuation.

Qualifications

Honours degree in Clinical Neuroscience or Psychology or related field.
Experience working with older people, particularly with dementia.
Knowledge of cognitive neuroscience of neurodegenerative disorders.
Experience conducting literature searches and preparing reviews.
Experience with research protocols, data handling, ethics submissions and grants.

Responsibilities

Undertake clinical and cognitive assessments of people diagnosed with dementia or healthy older adults.
Collect data, enter/store in statistical software, and prepare analyses/reports.
Lodge ethics applications with investigators and research managers.
Coordinate preparation of assessment kits, scheduling, and drafts for publications.
