Job summary

University of Sydney is hiring a part-time Research Assistant (Psychology) to support dementia research projects at the Brain and Mind Centre. The role involves cognitive testing, data collection, and coordinating assessments under the FRONTIER group, with occasional home visits.

The successful candidate will work with the Chief Investigator and team, contributing to literature reviews, study protocols, and ethical submissions, while meeting pre-employment checks and child-related work

Qualifications

Honours degree in Clinical Neuroscience, Psychology or relevant field.
Experience with older adults, especially dementia.
Knowledge of cognitive neuroscience of neurodegenerative disorders.
Experience with research protocols, data analysis and ethics submissions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Australian driver's license (desirable).

Responsibilities

Undertake clinical and cognitive assessment of people diagnosed with dementia or healthy older adults.
Collect research data, enter/store in appropriate statistical software, and prepare analyses/reports.
Ensure ethics applications are lodged in collaboration with the Chief Investigator, Research Manager and/or Senior Academics.
Coordinate the preparation of assessment protocol kits, scheduling of participants, research and prep drafts for publications and presentations.
