Job summary

Compass Group Pty Limited is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team at Kokoda Barracks, Canungra. This part-time role offers flexible hours within a cp environment and involves bulk cooking with strong team support.

Based near the Gold Coast, the position supports Defence Kitchen operations with day shifts ending by 7:30pm; training and career development opportunities are provided by Compass Group.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (required)
• Experience in commercial kitchens or bulk catering environments
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety and allergen management
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Reliable and team-focused approach

Responsibilities

• Prepare buffet-style meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
• Support kitchen operations including stock control and deliveries
• Ensure quality, presentation and portion control
• Work collaboratively as part of a professional kitchen team during service periods
