Job summary

Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg is seeking an experienced CSSD Technician to join our team. The CSSD department operates Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend shifts; hours range from 6:30am to 8:30pm.

• Understanding of infection control principles.
• Basic computer skills.
• Clinical/healthcare background.
• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exposure to Sterilisation Services in a healthcare environment.
• Certificate III in Sterilisation Services or working towards within six months.
• CSSD experience with autonomy across all areas.

Responsibilities

• Apply cleaning methods and disinfection on surgical instrumentation.
• Process equipment for external sterilising unit when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of surgical instruments and packaging.
• Conduct all sterilisation procedures following industry principles.
• Process endoscopic equipment for multi-use purposes.
• Store sterilised items to maximise sterility and access.
• Perform duties within the scope of clinical principles and regulations.
