Department of Justice and Community Safety in Victoria seeks a Court Assessment & Prosecutions Officer on a fixed term, part-time basis (0.5 FTE) in Wonthaggi. You will conduct initial assessments, support court processes, produce reports, assess risk to community safety, and help manage individuals on court orders.

The role operates Thursdays and Fridays with flexibility for another day. Applicants must have knowledge of court processes, human services experience, and a commitment to child-safe

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of court processes and prosecutions.
• Demonstrated ability to provide human services in needs assessments and development of interventions.
• Pays attention to words, expression and body language; recognises behaviours that promote a culture of inclusion.
• Resolves issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Provide timely, high quality, evidence-based advice to stakeholders.
• Undertake an effective assessment of an individual's risk to community safety.
• Effectively manage individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours.
• Produce detailed reports and other standard documents in line with procedural guidelines.
