Corrections Victoria in Wonthaggi is offering a fixed term, part time Court Assessment and Prosecutions Officer role (FTE 0.5). The position supports the Court Assessment and Prosecutions Service with assessments, variations, and prosecutions under court orders.

The successful candidate will contribute to community safety, conduct risk assessments, and produce detailed reports. The role requires Thursday and Friday work, with some flexibility for an additional day.

Qualifications

• Experience or knowledge of court processes and prosecutions.
• Demonstrated ability to provide human services in needs assessments and development of interventions.
• Pays attention to words, expression and body language; recognises behaviours that promote inclusion.
• Resolves issues through deep understanding or interpretation of existing guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, high quality, evidence-based advice to stakeholders.
• Undertake an effective assessment of an individual's risk to community safety.
• Effectively manage individuals exhibiting challenging behaviours.
• Produce detailed reports and other standard documents in line with procedural guidelines.
