Job summary

RetireAustralia's Glengara Retirement Village is seeking a part-time Cook to join our team on-site. You will prepare nutritionally balanced meals for residents, manage stock, orders and costing, and contribute to special events while upholding food safety standards.

The role requires weekend availability and prior experience in a similar setting. A Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery and a current Food Handling Certificate are needed, with additional checks such as Police clearance and First

Qualifications

Experience preparing nutritionally balanced meals for older people, including those with specific dietary requirements.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
Good availability across weekdays and weekends, with weekend availability essential.

Responsibilities

Assist in stocktake, food orders and costing for an efficient kitchen operation.
Maintain and manage food handling regulations and kitchen compliance standards.
Plan and prepare food for events and special functions within the village.
Ensure resident privacy and confidentiality requirements are maintained at all times.
