Job summary

G8 Education Ltd is seeking an experienced Cook for Great Beginnings Marsden Park to prepare nutritious meals for up to 124 children. The role is part-time (10 hours/week) with a contract ending April 2027 and potential extension.

You will ensure dietary safety, manage stock, and maintain a clean kitchen within a vibrant early learning environment. Applicants should have a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA-approved Early Childhood qualification, plus WWCC/Blue Card and First

• Experience in menu planning, budgeting and stock control.
• Ability to manage dietary and allergy safety requirements.
• Experience in maintaining a clean, safe kitchen per Food Safety regs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for up to 124 children daily.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join the team at Great Beginnings Marsden Park to produce high quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 124 children each day.

This role is Part-Time working 10 hours per week, on a contract ending April 2027, with the possibility to extend.

About Us

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 124 children with operating hours from 6:30am - 6:30pm.

Our menus meet nutritional guidelines and are high-quality, allowing young bodies to thrive both mentally and physically. As part of the Team, you will feel appreciated, valued and enjoy a truly supportive and fun work environment.

About You

• Experienced in Menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control
• Experienced in dietary and allergy safe requirements.
• Experienced in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with the relevant Food Safety regulations
• Be a Team Player with great communication and interpersonal skills
• Be available for set shift days and times Monday to Friday

Successful Applicants must hold

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification and experience in a cook role
• A current Working with Children’s Check / Blue Card / DCSI Clearance and First Aid
• Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
