Job summary

Great Beginnings Mill Park Centre, part of G8 Education Limited, is seeking a Cook to prepare nutritious meals for up to 112 children daily. The role is full-time, 38 hours per week, with above award wages and a 50% childcare discount.

You will manage menus, budgets and stock, ensure dietary safety, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen in line with Food Safety regulations. Join a supportive team within a growing network of centres.

Qualifications

• Experience in menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control.
• Experience with dietary and allergy-safe requirements.
• Ability to maintain a clean, safe kitchen in line with Food Safety regulations.
• Strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Availability for set shifts Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Cook to join the team atGreat Beginnings Mill Park Centreto produce high quality, nutritious meals and snacks for up to 112children each day.

This role is Full-Time working 38 hours per week.

About Us

Our children enjoy delightful indoor and outdoor play areas, rooms equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning resources, and a range of activities.

At capacity our centre caters for up to 112children with operating hours from 6:30am to 6:30pm.

Our menus meet nutritional guidelines and are high-quality, allowing young bodies to thrive both mentally and physically. As part of the Team, you will feel appreciated, valued and enjoy a truly supportive and fun work environment.

About You

• Experienced in Menu planning, budgeting, stock ordering & control
• Experienced in dietary and allergy safe requirements.
• Experienced in ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment in accordance with the relevant Food Safety regulations
• Be a Team Player with great communication and interpersonal skills
• Be available for set shift days and times Monday to Friday

Successful Applicants must hold

• A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or an ACECQA approved Early Childhood qualification and experience in a cook role
• A current Working with Children’s Check
• Completed or willing to complete Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
