Job summary

InterContinental Hotels Group is hiring a Demi Chef for Hotel Indigo Melbourne Little Collins and Holiday Inn Melbourne Bourke Street Mall. Join a dual-branded city-centre kitchen delivering guest-focused meals with a signature flare in a vibrant environment.

You will work part-time, be responsible for supporting daily food preparation, maintaining safety and cleanliness, and assisting with stock control while engaging with guests and team members across two iconic IHG properties.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Commercial Cookery completed or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 23 kg and perform kitchen duties safely.
• Fluent in English; strong reading, writing and basic maths.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals to a high standard in a busy hotel kitchen.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene according to local regulations.
• Assist with stock control, equipment checks and waste minimisation.
• Support safe operation and report safety issues to supervisors.
