Seek's South West Sydney family-owned business is seeking a part-time accounts receivable collections specialist to join the finance team on site.

Take ownership of the assigned ledger, reduce aged debt to target levels, and manage high-volume outbound and inbound calls while building rapport with customers. You will also handle account reconciliations and take payments by phone to help keep cash flow smooth.

Qualifications

• Two-plus years collections experience in a high volume environment.
• Genuine attention to detail; numbers that don’t reconcile bug you.
• Comfortable picking up the phone; a lot of this role is phone work.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the assigned ledger and manage the reduction in aged debt through standard collection activities.
• Reduce the overdue amount in line with the agreed targets.
• Making and receiving high volume outbound/inbound calls.
• Build and establish relationships with customers with rapport and trust.
• Manage accounts reconciliations.
• Resolve disputes and elevate complex issues when necessary.
• Taking payments over the phone.
