Job summary

Wise Kids ELC in Beaconsfield VIC is seeking a Cook for our small 30-place childcare centre to join our team on a part-time basis from 9.30am to 2.00pm, Monday to Friday. This role focuses on preparing nutritious meals in a supportive early learning environment within a Beaconsfield VIC centre.

Responsibilities include planning, preparing and cooking meals for children aged 0–6, maintaining a clean kitchen, managing ingredients, and collaborating with educators and families to meet dietary needs

Qualifications

• Must have Working with Children Check (or ability to obtain one).
• Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalent food safety qualification.
• Proven cooking experience in childcare or institutional setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks for children 0–6 years.
• Maintain clean, hygienic kitchen following food safety standards.
• Source ingredients and manage stock and inventory.
• Prepare meals that are visually appealing and developmentally appropriate.
• Collaborate with educators and families to meet dietary requirements.
