Job summary

Contemporary Catering is a family-owned business delivering specialist catering to aged care facilities across Victoria and NSW since 1992. A part-time Chef role supports Chef Managers at two sites, Clarinda and Mordialloc, with Saturday to Monday shifts.

You'll prepare meals, uphold high quality, and tailor dishes to residents' dietary needs while maintaining food safety and stock control. Join a friendly, supportive team with opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Chef qualifications.
• Experience in commercial kitchens, preferably within aged care.
• Understanding of modified texture meals and dietary requirements.
• Knowledge of food safety legislation and safe handling practices.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Flexible to work across both Clarinda and Mordialloc sites.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high-quality meals in accordance with menus and recipes.
• Support the Chef Managers with daily kitchen operations.
• Ensure meals meet residents' dietary requirements, including modified texture meals.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety standards.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising food waste.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen teams to ensure smooth service.
• Contribute to a positive dining experience for residents.
