St John of God Health Care Geelong Hospital seeks an experienced Associate Midwifery Unit Manager to lead the maternity service and coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team. The role provides clinical leadership across Birth Suite, Postnatal and Special Care Nursery, ensuring safe, woman‑centred care.

The position is permanent part‑time (0.59 FTE) with a rotating roster and a competitive salary package, including 12% superannuation and salary packaging options.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with AHPRA registration.

Responsibilities

• Monitor staffing against budget and bed occupancy.
• Provide leadership in absence of Unit Manager.
• Support HR processes within the department.
• Contribute to quality improvement and risk management.
• Document risk assessments and SOPs.
• Raise OHS concerns and contribute to consultative arrangements.
