Job summary

Westpac Bank is seeking a friendly, customer‑focused part‑time Teller for our Normanton branch in QLD. You will be the first point of contact, handle cash deposits and withdrawals, and help customers with everyday banking needs.

You’ll promote digital banking, refer to specialists as needed, and participate in compliant, day‑to‑day operations. We provide training, work variants across Monday to Friday 9am–2:30pm, and a collaborative team environment in the community.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in a frontline role.
• Numerical accuracy for cash handling.
• Ability to learn banking procedures and systems.
• Comfort with digital banking platforms and tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with banking transactions including cash deposits and withdrawals.
• Maintain accurate cash handling and ensure end-of-day balancing.
• Educate customers on digital platforms such as online banking and mobile app.
• Identify opportunities to improve customers’ financial wellbeing through tailored solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
