Westpac is seeking a part-time Teller for our Normanton, QLD branch. You will be the first point of contact, creating a welcoming experience and assisting customers with everyday banking needs, including transactions and digital platforms.

You will guide customers to specialists when needed to support their financial wellbeing. In this role you’ll build genuine connections, remain calm under pressure, and continuously learn banking procedures and technologies.

What’s the role?

As aTeller, you will be the first point of contact for customers visiting our branch and will work to create a welcoming and supportive experience from the moment they walk in. You will engage in meaningful conversations to uncover their needs, utilising your knowledge of Westpac’s financial products and services to support their holistic banking needs. By addressing their everyday banking queries and referring them to the right specialists in Home Loans or Business Banking, you will help ensure each customer receives tailored support and guidance. No two days are the same, and each interaction is an opportunity to make a genuine difference in our customers' financial wellbeing!

This is a part-time, branch-based role and the 22.5 hours per week are needed across and inclusive ofMondaytoFriday – 9am - 2.30pm pm daily.

What will I need?

• Customer Service Experience:ideally in a customer-facing role
• Numerical Skills:proficiency in handling cash and an ability to complete financial transactions with accuracy
• Personality:an energetic personality coupled with a genuine passion for helping people
• Resilience:ability to remain calm and composed whilst handling challenging situations
• Adaptability:a will to learn and adapt to new banking procedures and technologies
