Job summary

BaptistCare’s Gracewood Community Village in Kellyville seeks a Chaplain to provide compassionate, person-centred spiritual and pastoral care to residents, families, staff and volunteers.

You will lead worship, staff devotions, funerals, and rites of passage while supporting residents through life transitions. Pastoral care records and volunteer coordination are also part of the role.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in chaplaincy or pastoral care are required.
• Demonstrate Christian spiritual maturity and pastoral heart.
• Active involvement in and recommendation from a local Christian Church is essential.
• Chaplaincy or pastoral care experience is required.
• Current Working with Vulnerable People Check is required.
• Current NDIS Worker Check or willingness to obtain one is required.
• Willingness to undergo a police check.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centred spiritual and pastoral care to residents, families, staff and volunteers.
• Identify spiritual and pastoral needs and deliver care respecting beliefs and values.
• Conduct worship services, staff devotions, funerals and rites of passage; support residents through transitions.
• Maintain pastoral care records and contribute to team discussions.
• Coordinate Pastoral Care Volunteers and support staff and volunteers.
