Job summary

BaptistCare NSW/ACT – Aged Care invites applications for a Chaplain at Gracewood Community Village, Kellyville. You will provide person-centred spiritual and pastoral care to residents, families, staff and volunteers, conducting worship services and rites of passage while respecting diverse beliefs.

You will maintain pastoral care records, engage with a multi-disciplinary team, supervise volunteers, and contribute to a supportive, values-driven workplace within our faith-based aged care

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications and willingness to undertake chaplaincy/pastoral care training.
• High level of Christian spiritual maturity with a pastoral heart.
• Active involvement in a local Christian Church.

Responsibilities

• Provide worship services, staff devotions, funerals and rites of passage.
• Deliver compassionate, person-centred spiritual care to residents, families, staff and volunteers.
• Identify spiritual needs and deliver care respecting beliefs, values and life experiences.
• Maintain pastoral care records, participate in team discussions, support staff and volunteers, and coordinate Pastoral Care Volunteers.
• Visit clients in homes and hospitals as appropriate.
