Job summary

LiveBetter in Dubbo NSW is seeking a Part-Time Aboriginal Families as Teachers Facilitator (Identified) to support Aboriginal families to build a developmentally supportive home learning environment for children aged 0–5, working with early childhood education services to increase access and engagement.

This fixed-term role until December 2029 requires Aboriginality, a current NSW Working with Children Check, a Certificate III in Children’s Services or equivalent, and a willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated with ability to prioritise and adapt to changing conditions.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently.
• Empathetic and caring approach with a genuine interest in working with children.
• Experience working within the Early Childhood Sector is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Empower Aboriginal families to build a developmentally supportive home learning environment.
• Collaborate with early childhood education and care services to encourage age-appropriate learning and access for children aged 0–5 years.
• Support families to participate in age-appropriate learning and engagement within the community.
