Job summary

UNSW Parramatta is seeking a Campus Manager to oversee daily operations, venue presentation, and service delivery across the campus, ensuring a seamless experience for teaching, staff, and events. The role reports to the Head of Transactions and Commercial and requires collaboration with security and concierge teams.

Flexibility is essential as the 38-hour week shifts with timetables, weekend work, and after-hours event support.

Qualifications

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and venue presentation in collaboration with Estate Management and service providers.
  • Support teaching staff and students by maintaining optimal learning environments and directing users to support resources.
  • Coordinate end-to-end venue bookings, front-of-house logistics, and event setups with caterers and clients.
  • Supervise external contractors and casual staff with appropriate training and service expectations.
  • Manage contractor budgets, purchase orders, invoices, and variance reporting.
  • Administer campus technology and access logistics including basic AV troubleshooting and timetable booking.
  • Maintain WHS compliance through inspections, inductions, and incident reporting.

Job Description

The UNSW Parramatta Campus Manager will oversee operational management, venue presentation, and service delivery across the campus, ensuring a seamless experience for teaching, staff, and events. Reporting to the Head of Transactions and Commercial with no direct reports, the role involves close collaboration with onsite security and concierge teams to manage daily facilities and operational needs. As the flagship Western Sydney presence grows, the Manager will be instrumental in building out teaching support, establishing scheduling processes, and adapting timetabling workflows over time.

Flexibility is essential, as the standard 38-hour work week will shift to accommodate changing timetables, weekend work, and after-hours event support as required.

About the Role

The successful applicant will be required to undertake and have experience in the following areas of expertise:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, venue maintenance, and high-quality space presentation across the campus in collaboration with Estate Management, Property teams, and service providers.
  • Support students and teaching staff by maintaining optimal learning environments, providing guidance on campus services, and directing users to appropriate support resources.
  • Coordinate end-to-end venue bookings, front-of-house logistics, client briefings, and event setups, including managing relationships with local, culturally diverse caterers.
  • Supervise external contractors and casual staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, adequate training, and alignment with university service expectations.
  • Manage allocated contractor budgets, process purchase orders and invoices, track expenditure, and provide accurate financial reforecasting and variance reporting.
  • Administer campus technology and access logistics, including basic AV troubleshooting, timetable booking management, and parking or bike storage protocols.
  • Maintain strict WHS compliance by conducting regular workplace inspections, coordinating contractor inductions, and managing incident reporting through university systems like SALUS.
  • Evaluate utilisation data and user feedback to refine operational manuals, drive continuous service improvements, and contribute to strategic precinct planning., These pre-employment checks may include a combination of some of the following checks:-
