Job summary

Inner West Council in Sydney's Inner West is seeking a Parks Project Manager to lead the delivery of parks, recreation and landscape capital works from concept through to completion.

You'll balance technical rigour with strong community outcomes, managing investigations, design, approvals, procurement, contract administration and on-site delivery, partnering with consultants, contractors and local stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Landscape Architecture or Civil Engineering OR equivalent industry experience in capital works delivery.
• Demonstrated practical experience in investigation, evaluation, design and specification of capital works infrastructure to standards and legislation.
• Well developed procurement and project management skills.
• Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, project management software and CAD.
• Class C Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of parks, recreation and landscape capital works projects from concept to completion.
• Balance technical rigour with community outcomes and manage investigations, scoping, design, approvals, procurement, contract administration and on-site delivery.
• Collaborate with consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to deliver parks, sportsfields, gardens and open space upgrades.
