Job summary

The City of Perth is offering a full-time, permanent role in Infrastructure and Operations | Parks & Environment at Osborne Park. You will maintain irrigation systems across parks, gardens and streetscapes, reporting to the Irrigation Lead, ensuring efficient watering.

Your duties include checking and repairing systems, setting watering schedules to optimise water use, and completing planned maintenance with a safety-focused, collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining commercial irrigation systems.
• Knowledge of irrigation pumps and controllers.
• Able to perform physical work and safe manual handling.
• Good communication and safety focus.

Enjoy hands-on work outdoors? Join our Parks and Environmentteam and help keep the City’s parks, gardens and streetscapeshealthy by maintaining their irrigation systems.

Reporting to the Irrigation Lead, your main duties willinclude:

• Checking, repairing and maintaining irrigation systems,pumps and controllers;
• Finding faults and making sure watering systems workproperly;
• Setting watering schedules to use water efficiently;and
• Completing planned maintenance and repairs safely, as partof a team.

About You

We’re looking for someone with:

• Experience maintaining commercial irrigation systems;
• Practical knowledge of irrigation equipment, pumps andcontrollers;
• Experience with physical work and safe manual handling;and
• Good communication skills, a focus on safety and theability to work well with others.

An irrigation qualification, such as a Certificate III inIrrigation or Certified Irrigation Operator certification, would bean advantage.

Eligibility
