The City of Rockingham is seeking an experienced Irrigation Maintainer to join our team and oversee the maintenance of irrigation assets to ensure reliable operation and high standards.

You will troubleshoot faults across simple to complex irrigation systems, collaborating with others or working independently as required. A strong focus on safety, public interaction, and quality outcomes is essential.

• Certificate III in Irrigation Technology or equivalent and field experience
• Extensive irrigation experience
• Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment or alone as required
• Able to prioritise work and manage own time

• Able to demonstrate safe operations and maintenance of plant/equipment

As an experienced professional in commercial irrigation, you’re a self-motivated team player who takes initiative and thrives in both collaborative and independent work environments. You bring strong troubleshooting skills and can confidently resolve faults ranging from simple to complex irrigation systems. To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria as part of your online application:

1. Certificate III in Irrigation Technology or equivalent, and experience in a similar field relevant to the position
2. Substantial irrigation experience
3. Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team environment or able to work alone under direction
4. Able to prioritise work and manage own time
5. Sound written and interpersonal skills
6. Able to work in accordance with workplace health and safety industry obligations
7. Able to demonstrate the safe operations and maintenance of plant and equipment
8. Experience in dealing with the public in a conducive manner
9. Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence

This position offers a gross weekly wage of $1,488 which incorporates all allowances and penalty rates, as well as:

• 12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
• A variety of health and wellbeing programs including a physical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $200 per annum, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mental health programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) services
• Flexible working arrangements, including rostered days off and two additional paid days of absence per annum
