Job summary

The City of Joondalup is seeking a Technical Officer - Park Operations with substantial experience in parks operations, horticulture, project and contract management to join the Parks & Natural Environment team. You will develop and deliver projects within the Parks Operational Work Program, manage contracts and provide expert technical advice to staff, contractors and the community.

A WA C class driver's licence is required.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in horticulture or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Certificate IV in Frontline Management or relevant leadership experience.
• Interpreting and administering Australian Playground Standards (AS4685).
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team and providing technical operational advice for parks.
• Project and contract management, including tendering processes.
• Financial management, including budget preparation, monitoring, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver projects and programs within the Parks Operational Work Program.
• Manage a range of operational contracts and provide technical advice and support to City staff, contractors, and the community.
