Job summary

The City of Perth is seeking a dedicated irrigation technician to join the Parks and Environment team at Osborne Park. You will maintain and repair irrigation systems, pumps and controllers to keep our parks, gardens and streetscapes healthy and attractive.

Reporting to the Irrigation Lead, you’ll set watering schedules for water efficiency, perform planned maintenance safely with a team, and bring practical knowledge of irrigation equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience maintaining commercial irrigation systems.
• Practical knowledge of irrigation equipment, pumps and controllers.
• Experience with physical work and safe manual handling.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Check, repair and maintain irrigation systems, pumps and controllers.
• Find faults and ensure watering systems operate properly.
• Set watering schedules to use water efficiently.
• Complete planned maintenance and repairs safely as part of a team.
