Job summary

Mackay Regional Council is seeking Parks Maintenance Officers to join our Parks & Open Spaces team across Mackay Central Region. You will maintain parks, gardens, sporting fields and public spaces that residents and visitors enjoy daily.

Responsibilities include mowing, pruning, garden maintenance, operating mowing and maintenance equipment, and inspecting spaces to report issues. You will be part of a collaborative team delivering quality outcomes for the community.

Qualifications

• White Card required.
• C Class Driver Licence required.
• MR Licence required.
• Experience operating plant, equipment or power tools.
• Chemical Accreditation and chainsaw qualifications preferred.

• Working as part of a supportive team delivering quality outcomes for the community

What you'll bring:

• White Card
• Current C Class Driver Licence
• MR Licence
• Experience operating plant, equipment or power tools
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Positive attitude and team-focused approach
• Horticulture or landscaping experience
• Chemical Accreditation
• Chainsaw and Pole Saw qualifications
• Experience operating commercial mowing equipment
