Job summary

WorkPac Group is seeking a reliable Parks and Gardens Labourer to join their Mackay team. You will maintain parks, gardens, footpaths and public spaces, ensuring facilities are clean, safe and well presented.

The role includes operating basic tools, inspecting infrastructure, and recording work orders. A current HR licence and ability to work outdoors are essential; you will be supported by a friendly team and on-the-job training.

Qualifications

• Experience in labouring, parks and gardens or grounds maintenance.
• Current HR driver's licence.
• Ability to operate basic power tools safely.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors.
• Reliable with a strong work ethic and safety commitment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain parks, gardens, footpaths, playgrounds and seating areas.
• Inspect park infrastructure and report damages.
• Clean, maintain and repair park facilities.
• Operate small plant, power tools and equipment.
• Complete amenities and public infrastructure cleaning duties.
• Assist with scheduled maintenance works and projects.
• Record work orders and communicate with the team using electronic devices.
• Maintain clean, safe and presentable public spaces.
