Responsibilities

• Physical tasks: bending, lifting, raking, climbing ladders, laying pavers.

Parks Labourer (Townsville) Achieve Group Australia is currently seeking a reliable, safety-focused Parks Labourer to join a Townsville-based team. This casual full-time hours position within the Townsville District.

About the Role

This is a hands-on outdoor position working across parks, gardens and public spaces. Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Manual loading and unloading of trucks
• Tying down loads and securing equipment safely
• Manual handling and general labouring duties
• Operation of power and hand tools, including gardening equipment such as:
  • Pole saws
  • Hedge cutters
  • Chainsaws
• Gardening and landscaping support:
  • Mulching
  • Tree trimming
  • Weeding and poisoning
  • Litter pick-up
  • BBQ cleaning
  • Basic irrigation work
  • General gardening and grounds maintenance
• Physical tasks including bending, lifting, raking, climbingladders,laying pavers, and climbing in/out of vehicles

What You’ll Need

• Ability to walk up to 5km per day
• Strongphysical fitness and capability to complete demanding manual work daily
• A solid safety mindset, especially when working:
  • Around traffic
  • In all weather conditions
• Confidence using tools and equipment safely (gardening/power tools)
• Your own reliable transport to get to and from work
• Current open driver’s licence
• Ability to pass a medical, including drug & alcohol testing
• Ability to obtain/hold:
  • Police clearance
  • Functional clearance

Pay & Conditions

• $41.33 per hour
