McKinlay Shire Council in Julia Creek is seeking a reliable Parks and Gardens Labourer to maintain parks, gardens and public spaces. You will perform general horticultural duties under the Works Department, using standard tools and equipment.

The role requires experience in grounds maintenance, the ability to work outdoors in all weather, and possession of a Queensland C Class Licence and White Card. A full-time position with competitive leave entitlements and benefits is offered.

Formación

• Experience in grounds maintenance or landscaping.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Current Queensland C Class Licence and White Card are required.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out general parks and horticultural maintenance including weeding, pruning, planting, mulching, mowing, digging, raking, and spraying (approved treatments).
• Operate and maintain hand tools and minor plant and equipment such as brush cutters, chainsaws, blowers, hedgers, mowers and related gardening machinery.
• Undertake general labouring duties associated with parks, gardens, streetscapes, cemeteries and public facilities.
• Assist with landscaping works, irrigation maintenance, turf establishment and beautification.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and assist with other Works Department activities as required.
