Job summary

1300apprentice is helping a client recruit for a 4-year apprenticeship in Parks & Gardens in Melbourne and South East Melbourne areas. You will study for a Certificate III in Parks & Gardens while learning to manage and maintain gardens and vegetation under guidance from experienced tradesmen.

Role includes pruning, mowing, edging, herbicide application and mulching, with a requirement to pass pre-employment checks if successful.

Qualifications

• Interest in Parks & Gardens trade.
• Good level of fitness.
• Positive attitude.
• Own licence and transport.
• White Card (can be obtained during recruitment).

Responsibilities

• Learn to manage and maintain gardens and vegetation.
• Prune trees, weeds and vegetation.
• Mow, whipper snip and edge grasses.
• Apply herbicide and mulch.
• Work with experienced tradespeople on site.

At 1300apprentice we have a great client looking for apprentices in Parks & Gardens. They have opportunities in both Melbourne and South East Melbourne areas such as Frankston, Dandenong, Cranbourne and Clyde.

This is a great opportunity to learn a terrific trade and get paid in the process! Throughout this 4-year apprenticeship you’ll study for a Certificate III in Parks & Gardens.

You will learn how to manage and maintain gardens and vegetation, helping to regenerate and improve the local area. You’ll work alongside and learn from experienced tradesmen. Your training will also include work in the following areas:

• Pruning of trees, weeds and vegetation
• Mowing & whipper snipping
• Edging
• Herbicide application
• Mulching
