Job summary

Australian Training Company in Sydney CBD NSW is offering a full-time Parks & Gardens Apprenticeship with paid employment while you learn, and a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens upon completion.

You will work with experienced horticulturists to gain hands-on skills in parks maintenance, plant care, turf, irrigation, pruning and equipment operation, while completing on-the-job training and TAFE requirements.

Qualifications

• Commitment to learn and grow in horticulture.
• Willingness to undertake on-the-job and formal training.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain parks, gardens, reserves and public spaces.
• Plant, prune, mulch and weed garden beds.
• Assist with lawn and turf maintenance.
• Operate and maintain horticultural equipment and machinery.
• Identify plants, soils, weeds and pests.

Are you passionate about working outdoors, plants, landscaping, and maintaining beautiful green spaces? We are looking for a motivated and reliable Parks & Gardens Apprenticeto join our team and complete a Certificate III in Parks and Gardens.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while earning a nationally recognised qualification in horticulture. Apprenticeships typically combine practical work with formal training, covering areas such as plant care, turf management, irrigation, pruning, pest control, and maintaining parks and recreational spaces.

About the Role

Working alongside experienced horticulturists, you will learn to:

• Maintain parks, gardens, reserves and public spaces
• Plant, prune, mulch and weed garden beds
• Assist with lawn and turf maintenance
• Operate and maintain horticultural equipment and machinery
• Identify plants, soils, weeds and pests
• Follow safe work practices and environmental guidelines
• Complete TAFE training and on-the-job learning requirements
