Job summary
Programmed Training Services, in partnership with Yarra Ranges Council, seeks a Parks & Gardens Apprentice for a 4-year program in Lilydale, VIC. Earn while you learn and complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Parks & Gardens. You will gain hands-on experience maintaining parks and gardens across the area.
Join a supportive team, with mentoring and ongoing training, and develop practical horticultural skills for a long-term career in the outdoors.
Qualifications
- Interest in horticulture and outdoor work.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work in a team.
- Driver's license or working towards obtaining one.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining parks, gardens, reserves, and community spaces.
- Planting, pruning, mowing, mulching, and general garden maintenance.
- Assisting with landscaping and irrigation projects.
- Identifying and managing weeds, pests, and plant diseases.
- Operating and maintaining gardening tools and equipment safely.
- Working alongside experienced team members to keep local green spaces healthy, safe, and welcoming.
