Job summary

Parks Victoria is seeking a Ranger to manage on-ground assets and deliver maintenance across its park network in Victoria. You will work as part of a team on conservation programs, visitor infrastructure, and community engagement.

Role involves field-based duties across multiple parks, including collaboration with Traditional Owners, and contribution to fire and emergency management tasks for park safety and protection.

Qualifications

• Relevant trade qualification (such as Building, Carpentry, or Landscaping) or equivalent multi-year operational experience in hands-on asset maintenance and land management.
• Strong practical skills in construction, carpentry, or landscaping, with safe operation of hand/power tools and machinery.

Responsibilities

• On-ground management of Parks Victoria's estate across multiple parks.
• Delivery of conservation programs and visitor infrastructure projects.
• Maintenance of assets such as roads, walking tracks, day visitor areas and campgrounds.
• Compliance and enforcement activities; engagement with community, operators and volunteers.
• Participation in Victoria's fire and emergency management arrangements.
