Job summary

VERTO in Bathurst invites a part-time Mentor to join the Parent Pathways program. You will provide guidance and resources to parents and carers, empowering their parenting and career journeys.

You’ll support participants, build relationships, and connect them with key services across Bathurst, Blayney and Orange. Work Monday to Wednesday, with pro rata entitlements and opportunities for internal training and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication and rapport-building with participants.
• Deliver requests with professionalism and empathy.
• Demonstrate administration and computer skills.
• Be enrolled in or willing to enrol in Certificate III/IV in Community Services or Employment Services.
• Ability to work in a team and autonomously.

Responsibilities

Job description

Part-time role based in Bathurst, working Mondays to Wednesdays, providing coverage across the Bathurst, Blayney and Orange offices.

The Parent Pathways program is committed to helping parents and carers by offering essential guidance and resources to support them throughout their parenting and career journey. As a Mentor, you will play a vital role in empowering parents, promoting their growth, and connecting them with key resources

About you

• Enjoy working with people and can build rapport to develop and maintain relationships
• Have an open mind and can deliver on participants’ requests with professionalism and empathy
• Possess administration and computer skills
• Highly developed communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work within a team and autonomously
• You must hold, be enrolled in, or be willing to enrol in a Certificate lll or IV qualification in Community Services or Employment Services
