Job summary

Seek Australia is recruiting a Paraplanner and Adviser Support Professional for the Greater Newcastle region on a full‑time basis. The role supports the Financial Adviser in research, preparation, implementation, and administration of advice strategies while maintaining client files.

Qualifications

• Experience as a paraplanner or adviser support in financial planning.
• Ability to prepare SOAs and ROAs under guidance.
• Experience with client reviews, research, and implementation of advice strategies.
• Strong compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare advice documents including SOAs and ROAs.
• Support the adviser in monthly client reviews and documentation.
• Manage implementation of advice strategies (Superannuation, investments, insurance, Centrelink).
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
• Liaise with product providers, fund managers, insurers and other external stakeholders to facilitate implementation.
• Provide administrative support enabling the adviser to focus on client relationships and strategic advice.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Paraplanner and Adviser Support Professional to join our team on a full-time basis in the Greater Newcastle region.

This is a pivotal role that supports our Financial Adviser and helps ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality financial planning services. Working closely with the adviser, you will play a key role in the research, preparation, implementation and administration of advice strategies, and ensuring all client files are accurately maintained.

We understand that flexibility is important. For the right candidate, we are open to considering applicants seeking to work 3-to-4 days per week, provided they can effectively manage and complete the responsibilities of the role within those hours.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare advice documents, including Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs) and supporting documentation under the guidance of the Financial Adviser.
• Support the Financial Adviser in conducting monthly client reviews, including preparing review documentation, updating client information, researching strategy recommendations, and implementing agreed actions.
• Manage the implementation of advice strategies, including Superannuation, investments, insurance and Centrelink-related matters.
• Support client fact-finding activities and gather essential information prior to adviser meetings.
• Maintain accurate client records, file notes and documentation while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures.
• Liaise with product providers, fund managers, insurers and other external stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of advice.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Financial Adviser, enabling them to focus on client relationships and strategic advice.
