Job summary

MSS Strategic Medical and Rescue, a specialist division of MSS Security, seeks a highly qualified on-site emergency response professional. You will provide first response to medical emergencies and injuries, support site training and HSE activities in a mining environment, and coordinate with external services.

The role operates on an offshore-like FIFO 7 on/7 off roster, based in Moranbah, QLD, with day/night rotations.

Qualifications

• Must be an AHPRA registered medical professional (paramedic or nurse).
• Coal Board Medical – Rescue certification required.
• Immunisations: Tetanus, Hepatitis A & B.
• Drivers Licence - C Class.
• Open Course in Drug and Alcohol Testing - HLTPAT005.
• Operate Breathing Apparatus Open Circuit - PUAFIR207.
• Identify, Detect and Monitor Hazardous Materials - PUAFIR316.
• Render Hazardous Materials Incidents Safe - PUAFIR324.
• Undertake Road Crash Rescue - PUASAR24.
• Undertake Vertical Rescue - PUASAR032.
• Undertake Confined Space Rescue - PUASAR025.
• Conduct Fire Team Operations - RIIERR201.
• Respond to Local Emergencies and Incidents - RIIERR302E.

Responsibilities

• Provide first response to medical emergencies and injuries on site.
• Lead trauma and workplace incident management on site.
• Respond to cardiac or respiratory emergencies.
• Manage vehicle and machinery incidents on site.
• Coordinate with external emergency services for patient care.
• Lead fire and emergency response activities.
• Conduct rescue operations: confined space, heights, hazardous materials.
• Support site training and HSE activities within mining environments.
• Oversee emergency evacuations and site incident management.

About the Role

This dynamic and busy role will utilise your experience in Medical and Rescue Emergency Response & Injury and Health Management and offer rewarding career opportunity. You will be part of the site emergency response team by providing first response to all incidents and will be responsible for supporting the site training and HSE activities in a mining environment. This role offers a roster providing work life balance off – 7 on/ 7 off roster with both day/night rotations. This position is based in Moranbah QLD and is a FIFO role for those who do not reside locally.
