You will be enthusiastic and pragmatic, with excellent communication and time management, and you will liaise with clients directly. Prior personal injury experience is advantageous but not essential.

About the role

We are seeking a motivated paralegal to join our personal injury team in our Sydney office. Previous personal injury experience would be advantageous but is not essential. In this role you will be provided with the opportunity to learn from our talented senior staff members and grow in your role within this supportive team environment. This exciting role will see you assisting members of your allocated team and working with the wider personal injury team to provide seamless support across the business.

You will be enthusiastic and pragmatic in your approach, possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to liaise with clients directly. You will have a keen eye for detail and excellent time management skills.

A commitment to investing in our Personal Injury practice, learning the work that we do and executing on getting that work done is what we are looking for in the ideal candidate.

Appointment to this position will be made on an ongoing full-time basis.

Key Duties

As a valued member of our legal team, you will be deeply involved in the lifecycle of our matters, providing essential support that ensures the delivery of high-quality outcomes for our clients.

• Document drafting: Preparation of general correspondence, letters of advice, briefs, evidence and court documents.
• Case management: Assisting our solicitors with the preparation of cases from inception through to hearing or settlement.
• Legal research: Conducting legal research and preparation of case summaries and articles.
• File management and support: Providing legal and administrative assistance as required.

Skills and Experience

We are looking for an aspiring legal professional who balances academic excellence with a proactive, team-oriented mindset and a genuine desire to learn within a fast-paced environment.

• Experience: While prior legal experience is highly desirable, we welcome applications from motivated individuals looking to start their legal career.
• Communication and organisation: We are looking for candidates with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and well-developed time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Attitude: A proactive approach, strong initiative, and a team-player mindset are essential.
