Job summary

Lexmens Compensation Lawyers, a boutique firm specialising in plaintiff personal injury litigation, has a great opportunity for a part-time paralegal at our Parramatta office, working under the Director's mentorship.

This role is ideal for a law student in 2nd or 3rd year looking to learn hands-on in workers compensation, motor vehicle accidents, medical negligence, and other claims, with a pathway to a solicitor role.

Qualifications

• Must be in 2nd or 3rd year of law degree.
• Available for at least three days per week (8:30am–5:30pm).
• Previous experience in personal injury is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Great attention to detail and teamwork.

We have a great opportunity for a part time paralegal, to work under the direction and mentorship of the firms Director, at our Parramatta office.

This is a great opportunity for a law student to learn and grow their personal injury skills under the tutelage of Senior Solicitor and Director.

Pathway to a solicitor role for the right candidate.

THE ROLE:

You will work on a variety of personal injury cases inclusive of workers compensation, motor vehicle accidents, medical negligence, TPD and public liability claims.

This is a role for a candidate serious about bolstering their legal career, with real hands on experience and mentorship.

Your daily tasks will include, inter alia:

Drafting and collating legal documents and correspondence;

Drafting statements;

Liaising with clients, medical and legal professionals and other government bodies.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

You MUST be in the 2nd or 3rd year of your law degree and be able to work a minimum of three (3) days per week - 8:30am to 5:30pm;

A bright, switched on law student with a passion for helping people;

Previous experience in personal injury is preferred;

Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Great attention to detail;

Strong teamwork ability;

A hard working, focused attitude.
