Job summary

The City of Sydney is seeking a motivated Paralegal to join the Legal Services team. You will support lawyers across property, commercial, litigation and local government matters, preparing legal documents, conducting research, and maintaining precedents in a collaborative, supportive environment.

You'll work with experienced professionals, gain exposure to diverse matters, and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications

  • Qualifications in law, legal studies, conveyancing, legal administration or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience providing paralegal services.
  • Experience with property transactions and PEXA processes.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and familiarity with TRIM.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proactive approach and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities

  • support court filings and land title registration processes
  • undertake legal research and matter management under legal supervision

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join the City of Sydney's Legal Services team.

Working alongside experienced lawyers and legal support professionals, you'll provide legal and matter management support across a diverse range of property, commercial, litigation and local government matters. This role will allow you to build your legal career by gaining hands-on experience across a diverse range of legal matters while working with experienced professionals in a supportive team environment.

This role has the option of a rostered day off each month, known as a 19-day month.

The recommended applicant must complete a pre-employment health declaration and a criminal history check.
