Job summary

SG Fleet invites applications for its 2027 Internship program in Paralegal. The six-month placement begins February 2027 at our Pymble head office, NSW, with live project work from day one and mentorship from seasoned legal professionals.

You will gain exposure to contract work, risk management, and corporate governance in a dynamic fleet-finance environment. Eligible candidates are in their final year of undergraduate study and Australian/NZ citizens with full working rights.

Qualifications

• Final year law student or recent graduate applying for a paralegal internship.
• Interest in corporate or fleet-related legal work and risk management.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the legal team to update and maintain the knowledge database.
• Monitor and register interests on the Personal Property Securities Register.
• Maintain internal registers and databases to ensure important dates are not missed.
• Assist with contract filing and updates to legal/regulatory requests.
• Draft and review documents including confidentiality agreements and supplier codes of conduct.

About the Role

The purpose of the Paralegal position is to assist the legal team to update and manage the legal knowledge database to improve overall efficiency of legal services and management of risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and register interests on the Personal Property Securities Register in accordance with the business guidelines
• Maintain internal registers and databases as required to ensure important dates are not missed
• Contract management - filing contracts and updating legal and regulatory requests
• Review, negotiate and draft documents including confidentiality agreements and supplier codes of conduct
• Update internal processes as required

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the 2027 SG Fleet Internship Program, you must:

• Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or New Zealand citizen with full working rights
• Be in your final year of undergraduate study in 2027
• Be available to participate in the internship program based at SG Fleet’s Sydney Head Office in Pymble, NSW (with a move to North Sydney in April 2027)

What’s Next

This internship is open to final-year university students. You’ll be based at SG Fleet’s Head office with easy access via train and our complimentary shuttle bus.
