Job summary

HammondCare is seeking a Palliative Care Registrar for a fixed-term, full-time role based at Neringah Hospital in Wahroonga. You will provide in-patient palliative care reviews under supervision, contributing to high-quality care for inpatients within the Palliative Care service.

The role requires NSW Medical Board registration (or eligibility), a medical degree, and at least two years of supervised RMO practice.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted NSW Medical Board Registration or eligibility
• Primary Medical degree and eligible for Medical Board registration
• Minimum of two years supervised practice as an RMO
• Experience in Palliative Medicine or related specialty
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Advanced palliative medicine trainee (RACP, AChPM) or other Accredited trainees desirable
• Post-graduate qualifications in Palliative Medicine desirable

Responsibilities

• Provide in-patient care to patients admitted to the Palliative Care unit
• Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Maintain high professional standards in all activities
• Implement a personal learning program with supervision
• Participate in after-hours care of palliative care inpatients
