Aussie Painters Network is seeking a Painting Apprentice to join growing teams. You will work alongside qualified painters, gaining hands-on experience, mentoring, and ongoing support throughout your apprenticeship.

The role involves measurements, reading plans, surface preparation, applying paints, and assisting with various decorating tasks on residential and commercial projects. A White Card is required or obtainable, with emphasis on safety and teamwork.

About the Role

• Handling painting and decorating materials
• Using painting and decorating tools and equipment
• Removing and replacing doors, windows, and components
• Preparing surfaces for painting
• Applying paint using brushes and rollers
• Applying textured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray

The successful candidate will have:

• A genuine interest in undertaking aPainting Apprenticeship
• A White Card, or the ability to obtain one ASAP
• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour
• A willingness to learn and work as part of a team
• A positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
• The ability to follow instructions and take direction
• Trustworthiness and motivation

Preferred (but not essential):

• A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Previous painting or construction-related work experience an advantage
• Paid apprenticeship withon-the-job training
• Ongoing mentoring from experienced, qualified painters
• Nationally recognised qualification upon completion
