Job summary

Norship Marine based in Northern Australia is seeking experienced Auto Spray Painters, Marine Painters or Industrial Blasters to join our shipyard team in Cairns. You will perform abrasive blasting, apply protective coatings and epoxy systems, and work from engineering drawings and work instructions in a fast-paced marine environment.

Candidates should have marine or heavy industry painting experience, a current Driver's Licence, and safety certifications (Height, Confined Spaces, White Card).

Whether you're a Marine Painter, Industrial Blaster, Protective Coatings Applicator or Auto Spray Painter looking to transition into the marine industry, we encourage you to apply.

Previous experience in marine, Defence, industrial, mining or heavy industry projects.

Experience with abrasive blasting and surface preparation techniques.

Application of protective coatings, epoxy systems and marine paint products.

Airless spray painting experience.

Ability to interpret work instructions, specifications and coating requirements.

High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.

Current Driver's Licence.

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in marine, Defence, industrial, mining or heavy industry projects.
• Experience with abrasive blasting and surface preparation techniques.
• Application of protective coatings, epoxy systems and marine paint products.
