Job summary

Aambianz Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Painter to join our team in Sydney. Prepare and finish façade panels, cladding and architectural features in workshop and on site, delivering a high-quality finish to project specifications.

The role requires at least 1 year of painting experience in commercial or construction settings, with spray, brush and roller application and surface preparation. A valid driver’s licence and willingness to work at heights are essential.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating (or equivalent).
• Minimum 1 year of painting experience in commercial or construction work.
• Experience with spray, brush and roller application and surface preparation.
• Good understanding of paint systems, protective coatings and finish quality standards.
• EWP licence and façade or commercial project experience desirable.
• Current driver’s licence and reliable attendance.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, filling cracks and holes, and removing old coatings.
• Apply primers, sealers, undercoats, paints and protective coatings by brush, roller and spray equipment.
• Paint and finish façade panels, aluminium and steel components, cladding and architectural features.
• Mix, thin and colour-match paints and coatings to specifications and approved samples.
• Read and interpret drawings, finishing schedules and manufacturer specifications.
• Carry out touch-ups, defect rectification and quality checks before handover.
• Set up and maintain spray equipment, tools, drop sheets and access equipment.
• Work safely at heights using scaffolds and elevated work platforms, following SWMS and site WHS procedures.
• Keep work areas clean and dispose of paint waste in line with environmental requirements.

About the role
