Job summary

GemLife is seeking an experienced Painter and Decorator to join our Kilcoy project construction team. This hands-on role covers internal and external painting across residential builds, delivering high-quality finishes safely and efficiently.

You’ll work with Site Managers, Supervisors and trades, carry out surface preparation, patching and colour matching, and ensure plans and specs are followed. AQF Certificate III in Painting and Decorating and White Card are required.

Qualifications

• AQF Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrated internal and external painting experience.
• Strong surface preparation, patching and repair skills.
• Experience using brush, roller and spray application techniques.
• Knowledge of paints, coatings, finishes and colour matching.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
• Good time management and problem-solving skills.
• A reliable, safety-focused and collaborative approach.
• White Card.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with supervisors, tradespeople and other team members to deliver quality outcomes.

A day in the life...
